Dispatch note

A man walks in the dark before dawn toward a field he will never reach. Amber does not witness the killing. She witnesses the name — says it aloud so it does not disappear into a footnote.

The dispatch is not a lament. It is TIRAEL in its most essential form: to not look away, to say the name, to refuse the silence that follows a single line in a newspaper.

Bakary Sako, a Malian citizen, was killed in Taranto in May 2026 by a group of teenagers while walking to work in the fields. His name is the only element of this dispatch that cannot be translated into Kyntra. It stays as it is.

Opening Invocation

A name…
Your name…
In sudden death, your name…

Verse 1

I walked toward the old earth in the dark-of-passing
Light over the field — not yet the sun
I found old paths, before the forgetting
Pain unwitnessed at the threshold, pain in the space of movement

Verse 2

I walked — he walked
Toward the field, away from the death-place
Your name in sudden death
Your name — Bakary Sako

Chorus

I witness your name
The dark-of-passing does not take your echo
I witness your name
In the Archive, your name
